Young Hov performed last night in Austin, Texas as part of SXSW. You would think just after his daughter’s birth, just finishing the WTT tour in North America AND about to start the European tour that Jay would be taking a break. It’s a reason why he has succeeded in Hip-Hop like no one else keep taking it to the next level every time.
We were one of the first to announce Young Jeezy is doing a Canadian tour back in February. I decided to do another post for the surrounding areas, London, Ontario April 5th and Toronto April 6th. He just shot a few video drops for the tour. It’s funny he thought it was London, England instead of the Forest city. UK Stand UP!

The Come Up Show is proud to present our interview with Atlanta/Philadelphia artist STS. Second time in Toronto and first time headlining a show at The Rivoli. STS tells us about his love for Toronto, and how he would like to live in the city. An interesting fact I found out doing my research on STS is that he has co-writing credits for Ciara’s “Oh”, Young Jeezy was originally supposed to be featured but Ludacris ended up making the cut once he sent his verse. I had to also ask STS about meeting Black Thought from The Roots and how he ended up the group Money Making money jam boys. Released a few weeks ago STS also discusses the Gold Rush mixtape, and what he learned from the Illustrious.

When I interviewed Brendan Philip a month or so ago he was telling me he was going to experiment a lot with different genres, sounds, and producers. A cool thing about Brendan; he records music, puts it out and basically moves on to the next project. I found out about this EP from a tweet he sent to Shad’s manager if I didn’t see it I would probably not even know about it. Even though I interviewed him a month earlier, I would think he would give me heads up about this EP haha….most artists spam you with their new music but not Brendan Philip.
