Junia T hit me earlier in the week with a new jam he produced. Veronica Domingues is a new Toronto R&B artists he’s working with and will be producing her entirely new EP titled Just Chill and is set to drop this spring. This jam has got a nice funk jazz type feel to it….If you know Junia T you know it’s good music!
Taken from her SoundCloud page….
She decided to team up with Producer/Emcee Junia-T of Smash Brovaz and Director/Filmmaker Customatic. Currently recording her first EP entitled “Just Chill”, she is hoping to showcase a different soulful vibe to the rest of Toronto. She hopes that “Just Chill” will get people to really relax and enjoy the vibes around them. She believes there is nothing better than taking that alone time for yourself.

2013 is the 10th anniversary of Jay’s famous “final” album The Black Album. After hearing 9th say “Approximately 10 years ago….” it really threw me off. I was 15 years old and I remember buying this album at Music World (Remember those stores?) on my break at work. I came home and instantly put it in. I remember telling my step-brother as the album began “This is IT right here.” IT meaning this was Jay’s last album and would no doubt go down in history as one of his best albums ever. I listened to the album twice that night before I fell asleep and I woke up, went to school and told everyone how incredible it was.
Which brings me to this video…..9th Wonder breaking down the incredibly produced “Threat” and telling the story of how he and Chaundon went to NY and met with Jay. I always LOVE hearing stories like these…the behind the scenes tales about the best albums in hip hop.

The homey Richie has been working on new material for the new year and believe me it’s going to smack you in the face. As he usually does, Richie hits us with another really dope track (a few in my inbox are craaack) showcasing his work ethic. He recently posted on facebook stating “Difference between me and you “rappers” is you can dissect every line in this song and its just me speaking from a completely honest place, no need to fabricate anything.” Be on the lookout for new material from Richie and the PMG squad!

A new visual cut for one of the more mellow tracks on Traphouse Rock. The crew lets loose of another video off of their latest release. Make sure you go and get this album….if you dig I promise it’ll be under your top 10 albums of the year.

This is my shit right now and I’m not religious in any sense. I guess Game is doing a ‘Sunday Service’ by letting tracks go every Sunday up until the release of his Jesus Piece album which drops on December 11th. I always look forward to Game’s albums as they always come correct with good beats, ill rhymes, and well picked features. Sure, Game likes to name drop a lot but he doesn’t disappoint when it comes to his full length LP’s. Check out this ‘Sunday Service’ release. The video is NSFW so make sure your boss isn’t watching!

Yes Kanye….Yes. I wish he came like this on every single track. It’s not like he doesn’t on a hype collab like this but….I really hope his next album is the best he’s ever done. Yeezy hops on remix of Rihanna’s single ‘Diamonds’ off her freshly leaked Unapologetic album.

I’m in class…ITCHING to hear this. In support of Kendrick releasing and selling a womping 200K plus, the TDE fam release what Kendrick and Cole did in the studio last night. We call this one “The Jig Is Up.” good kid, m.A.A.d. city is in stores now. This makes me anticipate their collaboration project THAT much more….Stay Tuned!

It’s finally here….15 tracks of incredible music. I personally have been waiting for this album to drop since the band released their ‘Hard Times’ EP last year. I’ve listened to this album probably 2 or 3 times since they posted the stream up yesterday and now its here for everyone to download and enjoy. Believe me you’ll dig it! Hip hop, jazz, alternation, rock, R&B, blues….theres a little bit of everything for everyone on this album. You’ll recognize certain melodies, riffs, bass lines, etc and it makes it so much more interesting knowing these kids are paying attention to detail when making their music

Kendrick drops off another treat as we come within 2 full days of good kid, m.A.A.d. city hitting your local cd/record shops. He asks but one question to end off the track (which has a ridiculous first verse) “Will you let hip hop die on October 22nd?”

Another ManifesTO clip from our good friends over at Make Today Legendary. They had their 1st table set up this year as a part of the festivities and had a photographer around to capture the experience. A couple cameo’s from Chedo & myself as the ‘First Look Cypher‘ was going on! As you can tell most of the crew is rocking the MTL gear: hats, baseball t’s, hoodies, etc. Make sure you check out their site (click on the name) to keep up and stay tuned for more. Don’t forget – we have 24 hours in a day…What are you doing to make it legendary?
