Welcome to the first ever Sneakers Corner post on The Come Up Show. Today being Saturday and most new shoes drop on this day we decided that we’re gonna aim to have this post EVERY Saturday from now on. Why? Well for those of you who don’t know me, I work at Foot Locker full time so about 1/3rd of my day is influenced by shoes and of course 100% of my day is hip hop. Hip-Hop & Sneaks are already a pair of things that have found love in one another. Hip Hop (in it’s early days and now re-emergence) was all about being the freshest MC on the mic and you couldn’t be a good MC if you didn’t have the right threads and kicks to go with it. Run-DMC’s classic track “My Adidas” was groundbreaking for the people who didn’t have style, they now knew what to rock and how to rock it correctly. Fashion & Sneaker based songs have been around as long as I can remember and we all can relate kicks to hip hop music. The nicest, coolest, most amazing (and most expensive) shoes to ever grace the feet of anyone will be showcased here. Jordan, Nike, Adidas, Converse, Nike SB, Supra’s, Air Max’s, Kobe’s, Lebron’s, etc, etc anything and everything all across the board and hopefully on our feet sometime (even in our dreams). Welcome to Sneakers Corner.

Dropping every Saturday from here on in! We’ll be showcasing the nicest highs & lows (get it?) of the sneaker game, upcoming releases, release dates, pics, etc. Whether they’re ball shoes, skate shoes, casual kicks, whatever – we’ll be posting the info and pics so you can start making a wishlist for the shoes you will most likely want to own. Sneakers Corner drops every Saturday so tell your sneakerhead friends to head over here from now on and check it out!

I was going through a thread in a forum and discovered full sample packages for Late Registration & College Dropout. I instantly put the C.D. on and have been vibin out and reminiscing like whoa. This album is Certified Classic and holds a definite mark in the history of hip-hop. I decided to drop this explicit version for ya’ll since you can’t find it on the actual album itself. I’ve always wonder why that happens on albums sometimes, one track is edited but the entire album isn’t. Meh. Enjoy.

This is great foreshadowing at its finest…all we gotta do is shoot a lil promo vid and you’ll be informed as to what I’m talking about. Murs & Terrance kick bars about their favorite kicks and how you should step your sneaker game up (shouts to DL Incognito).

J Dilla’s Donuts Performed By Stray Phrases by TheSmokingSection
J Dilla’s “Donuts” performed by live by Stray Phrases circa Sept. 2010. Stray Phrases is Storm Siegel on drums, Dave Mainella on piano and Evan Crane on bass. Spotted over at the 2DBZ crib – these 3 guys are attend NYU and are also a jazz trio. Any Dilla follower will definitely dig this…thats why I had to post it.

This album was so slept on that I’m sure some people have actually forgotten that it actually came to life. Distant Relatives is definitely a dope album and holds a solid positive vibe throughout the entire LP.

Happy Birthday J Dilla and Rest In Peace James Dewitt Yancey.
Created in 2006, this remembrance piece is created as a tribute to the memory and legacy of James “J.Dilla” Yancey. This is a piece designed for his fans and supporters who knew of his accomplishments before February 2006 and those that have grown to appreciate his genius. Here, we gain a greater insight and understanding about our musical icon.

I’m posting this under audio because you’re mainly listening to this really sweet ass beat, and watching some cool/random old karate clips too.

WHOA.
I’m sorry if I’ve been sleeping but where the fuck did Locksmith come from and why hasn’t anyone ever mentioned him before? Dude is a BEAST on the mic especially over this bangin’ Ski instrumental. I’ve literally watched this video 5 times since I’ve started this post…just a dope syllable rhyme spitter. Trust me.
Hit the skip and check it out.

With tracks like this I really hope LASERS doesn’t disappoint. All of the previous tracks that have been leaked seem a little bit too much on the pop side for my liking. Regardless Lupe’s first 2 albums are classics and can’t be fucked with.
