The 21st annual NXNE Music Festival took place across several venues in Toronto on June 17th to 21st. A mix of different genres, NXNE was a crazy five days jam-packed with some of the hottest Canadian and International talent. Award-winning R&B singer Miguel returns to Toronto in August for his Wildheart Tour. The tour celebrates his upcoming album, Wildheart, which is due on June 29th. Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster at 10am EST this Friday, the 19th.

June 12th & 13th marked Bestival‘s inaugural festival in Toronto. The UK festival, known for its eclectic lineup and secluded locations (festivals are only held on islands) chose Hanlan’s Point Beach on Toronto Islands for the fun. Thousands gathered together to see a diverse range of genres from EDM to DJs, R&B, Rock, Hip-Hop and more. Hit the Jump to read the full review.
Toronto Jazz Festival and Manifesto join forces to bring Toronto a free show at Nathan Phillips Square. Dopaliscious is mainly a display of the dope talent that is in Toronto. The night features a variety of acts. Headlining is The Juice Money Collective band with rappers Junia-T and Tona. Singers Melanie Durrant, Adria Kain and Jessie Reyez will also take the stage. In addition, spoken word artist Lyric L, and novelist Marlon James will speak. The event will be a nice afternoon to come out and see what Toronto has to offer!
