I don’t usually post this kind of stuff. But, what in the fuck? Young rappers and producers: if a “real” rap career doesn’t pan out, don’t worry because looks like your local private bible college will put you on their outreach and admissions payroll! Shalom.

The reason why I’m posting this is because I find it so interesting to see how Fifty is applying his laws of success to something simple as shoveling snow. If you haven’t been paying attention to the news, New York State and surrounding areas have had a bunch of snow and 50 Cent is certainly making an opportunity for himself.
The quotes below are from Fifty twitter profile.
I got 4 people on one street to agree to my fee after they saw the first job I did. Now I’m looking for employees.
I’m paying 30 dollars and hour I only want 3 workers that 90 dollars and hour but I think we can do all 4 in a hour in a half. Lol.
One is a cute kid he has on a snow suit. So I’m sending him to ring the door bell to ask if we can shovel there snow. Lol.
When you look at his eyes its hard to tell him no. lol then I come to tell them how much they have to pay us. Lol.
This snow moving business is just to see if laws apply to every business. After the first job I got 4 more now I have 3 kid I hired.

On the final late night summer edition of the Come Up Show, we had a discussion about the best smiles in rap on the chat boards. Chedo was kinda joking when he said he was going to start a contest about this (not everyone agreed with my –still standing– vote for SHAD), so a post featuring some of the best grinnage in the game is the next best thing. Who has the best smile in hip-hop?
My uncle said my head looked like a peanut when I was born.
Nowadays all it takes is the right youtube video to make you famous….but this isn’t a gimmick, he’s actually not that bad for a 7 year old.
Can’t wait till November 8th!!!!
Mike Epps and friends (Henry Welch, Lil’ G, Vanessa Fraction and Gary Owen) perform one of the funniest sets ever watched.
Curious video freeze, huh?
Pigeon Hole is seriously capable of arousing absurd pleasure and humor out of moments of hesitancy. And what better way to do that then botching the line of political correctness to the rhythm of a few carefully placed classic rap references laid atop elevator “baa baaa baaaaaa’s?” This sort of funny is rare as it is genius.
PH’s Dusty Melo animated this little short as an “ode to lady bits.”
Bust out the popcorn and sprawl out on the broadloom. There is plenty more wry wit and dry 90′s scratch where this came from…
Film maker Jim Jarmusch has been in my peripheral because he recently curated the final day of ATP New York, an alt music festival dedicated to post-rock, avant garde, and underground hip-hop music that took place this past labor day weekend, September 3-5.
When given the opportunity to schedule an entire day of music, Jarmusch, a long time hip-hop fan, called up GZA and Raekwon (who apparently spat a great freestyle over Slick Rick’s “Children’s Story”) and also managed to recruit the legendary DJ Kool Herc. You can check out a performance here.
This Jarmusch film short from 2006, “Coffee & Cigarettes,” features GZA, RZA, and Bill “motha fuckin” Murray. The expressions are priceless.

Since the dawn of hip-hop, fans and listeners have toiled a labor of love to decode cryptic language rappers and emcees are literally in the business of writing. But these days, thanks to sites like RapMap, knowing the ins and outs of rap philosophy–actually understanding what artists are saying– is getting easier. Or at least more fun.
When I was preparing for this interview, I wanted to come up with “different” questions. Since I know D-Sisive isn’t a typical emcee and I wanted to bring out his “weird” personality on the camera. I decided to write down a few questions and the rest I let it happen. The result……. click play.
D-Sisive album Vaudeville is out now, you can cop it on the D-Sisive website.
