[Interview] The Come Up Show Presents- Jay Electronica

Jay Electronica on The Come Up Show

I didn’t plan to release our first interview of 2011 until later this week. However, it seems like we forgot to set the Jay Electronica interview on private through The Come Up Show Youtube Channel. Few hours later, In Flex We Trust posted the interview and the blogs went crazy!

In our rare interview, Jay Electronica describes his collaboration with Nas, status of the debut album, and what keeps him happy.

[Video] The Come Up Show Presents- The Best of 2010

The-Best-of-2010-Poster-1

As we go into a brand new year, I would like to reflect on what The Come Up Show has accomplished in 2010. The great memories created with interviews like Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa, and D-Sisive. Interviews I NEVER expected with Reflection Eternal and the first Summer Jam Canada with Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Rick Ross and T-Pain was a part of history.

The Best of 2010 is for our fans we’ve gained in 2010 and a great time capsule for our fans who have been supporting since day one. Make sure to watch the video in full as we have included a sneak peek of 2011 with Jay Electronica, Bun-B, Brother Ali, and Pharoahe Monch.

Thank you very much for you love and support.
Happy New Year and Best Wishes from The Come Up Show Team.

[Interview] The Come Up Show Presents- Big K.R.I.T.

Big K.R.I.T. on The Come Up Show

I’m doing music to let know people know they aren’t by themselves, what we go through spiritually, financially, emotionally, and just putting it in my music. Big K.R.I.T.

From Meridian, Mississippi his album, K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, garnered critical acclaim in 2010. Former President of G-Unit Records and current Senior VP of A&R at Def Jam Records, Sha Money XL, signed him to the label as one of his first priorities.

I’m proud to present my interview with Big K.R.I.T. as he tells which PlayStation game started his beat making. Big K.R.I.T. also discusses why he feels blessed to be a part of the new generation of emcees like Wiz Khalifa and how important it is to have a strong team around you.

[Interview] The Come Up Show Presents- Wiz Khalifa

Chedo and Wiz Khalifa

I got the opportunity to kick it with Wiz Khalifa at his first show in Toronto for the Wake and Bake tour. Tickets sales at the Toronto show were so successful that Union Events (promotion company) moved it from The Opera House (850 capacity) to the Sound Academy (3230 capacity) and the show was sold out.

In our interview, Wiz Khalifa tells me why he likes Canada, his reaction when Drake made a surprise appearance during the show, and why he thinks the Kush and Orange Juice Mixtape was so successful.

[Interview] The Come Up Show Presents- Boi-1da

Chedo and Boi-1da

I always knew that if you want something, you can go get it, nothing is stopping you from getting whatever you want. When I was 16, all my friends were partying, I wanted to stay inside and make beats because that’s what I love. Boi-1da

This is the man who has produced for Hip-Hop/R&B upper echelon. Artists like Drake, Eminem, Bun-B, Keri Hilson, and so much more.

Boi-1da shares why he didn’t listen to his family and friends when they told him to pursue anything but music. He also talks about producing “Not Afraid” for Eminem and why he thinks Eminem is the BEST Rapper ALIVE. He also shared something that not too many people have the confidence to share, Boi-1da tells me why his life started to turn around once he started to read the bible.

[Interview] The Come Up Show Presents- Curren$y

Curren$y Interview on The Come Up Show

WOW, you can only prepare so much for an interview and have a general idea what it’s going to be like BUT I didn’t think Curren$y would completely take it in another direction. From Curren$y’s bump in with the Canadian border security, to not going more than 30 minutes before lighting up a joint and of course Pilot Talk 2. Sit back and enjoy this interview. After you finish watching head over to the full photo gallery of Curren$y performance at The Smokers Tour.
