[Photo] Common’s line “You Canada Dry” T-Shirt hits web

You gotta love the internet! Chicago-based designer Custom De Vasquez, unleashes his “You Canada Dry” t-shirt, inspired by Common’s line towards Drake. I do have to give it to Custom De Vasquez, this is very quick thinking. I hope he doesn’t get sued by Canada Dry though. Hit up Custom at: custom520@gmail.com, or check out his Facebook page if you want to order a t-shirt.

Rick Ross @ Sound Academy in Toronto

Less than a month ago our photography Drew aka #ShotbyDrew got to cover the Rick Ross concert in Toronto. Rozay looks like he definitely rocked the Sound Academy!! Drew as usual got some amazing photos, you can see the set list, the crowd, Rozay titties and much more LOL, just KIDDING!

After looking at these photos I was thinking Rick Ross wouldn’t be as popular if he was skinny….random thought I know but you think we would love him as much if he weighed 150 pounds? Could he say “I’m the biggest BOSS” with the same demeanour? HA okay just enjoy these photos and as always check out the photo gallery for more amazing photography.

[News] The Come Up Show Interview Announcement with Grammy Nominated Producer T-Minus

The Come Up Show Interview with T-Minus

UPDATE: Check out the Interview with T-Minus.

Ladies and Gentleman as promised this Monday January 9, 2012 is the release of our first interview of the year. Grammy nominated, multi platinum producer T-Minus. What I love about this interview is that this man is responsible for so many hits and people are just starting to get to know his name. T-Minus has produced hits like DJ Khaled’s I’m On One, Lil Wayne’s She Will, Nicki Minaj Moment For Life, Ludacris’ How Low, T.I.’s Poppin Bottles, and he produced four tracks on Drake’s latest album Take Care; Underground Kings, HYFR, We’ll Be Fine, The Motto.

The LIST GOES ON AND ON. For the first time in the world, The Come Up Show is going to do it right and introduce this man to the globe. We visited him in his hometown Ajax, Ontario where he welcomed us into his home with open arms. He showed us his beat making process, talked about how Drake is an amazing producer, what music means to him and much more.

Make sure to subscribe to The Come Up Show TV on Youtube NOW. Be one of the first to watch this interview Monday January 9, 2012. Spread the word. Here are a few pictures from the interview.

[Review] Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Concert in Toronto @ Mod Club

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis concert in Toronto

Hailing from Seattle known mostly for Ken Griffey JR’s glory days on the Seattle mariners and the prodigious space needle, Seattle is not explicitly known for breeding MC’s and hip hop like New York or LA. What others might view as an impediment to mainstream stardom, I think it adds a special element to Macklemore as an MC and performer. Having been to a few hip-hop shows with performers from across the globe I can say I’m all too familiar with rappers from more prominent regions performing with a sense of entitlement and giving less than a 100 percent because they happen to be from a notable city.

[Review x Gallery] Ghostface Killah @ Sound Academy

Ghostface Killah @ Sound Academy

With over nine studio albums to his credit and noteworthy guest verses all over Wu-Tang’s catalogue of music, Ghostface killah arguably the most prolific emcee of the nine man crew touched down to Toronto’s Sound Academy on December 2. Presented by Union events, Ghostface Killah was there to rip the stage and re-introduce himself to his Canadian fans as a part of his cross country Canada tour.

Check out the full post to read the full review and see the photography of the Ghostface Killah show in Toronto.

[Gallery] Shot by Drew: The Game Live @ St. Andrews Hall Detroit

The Game @ St. Andrews Hall Detroit

This was a first time attending seeing Game in concert, in Detroit and what a pleasure it was. It was only one day before the concert we were notified by Livenation that we had media passes to attend Game’s concert at St. Andrews Hall. The Come Up Show photographer Drew is a huge fan of Game (Top 5) and I was escatic to attend this show with him. I do want to give a shout out to the Detroit hustlers out there especially the man who made us believe we were donating to the Kid Rock Foundation. He gave us 2 Wendy’s gift card supposedly worth 50 bucks and we found out later they weren’t even activated!!

The show was in the basement of the St. Andrews hall which is called The Shelter and according to Drew, Eminem’s first show was in this venue. Game literally raped this show, he came out spitting Kendrick’s verse on The City which is featured on Game’s R.E.D. album. He performed his classics from The Documentary and overall a great selection of songs spanning his career. The part I was most impressed with is when he chugged half a grey goose bottle in literally 2 minutes and he spit 5-6 minute acapella non-stop!!! Definitely an entertaining show and I recommend you check out Game next time he’s in town. Check out the photography that was shot by Drew and video footage is coming soon!!
