This was one of the best concerts I have been to in 2011. Method Man energy was infectious, he jumped into the crowd, he got us involved, and absolutely wowed everyone. Check out the photography by The Come Up Show own Andrew Stephenson. Our interview with Method Man is dropping 4/20. The young kid you see with J.R.? Old Dirty Bastards son.

Amazing photography by Andrew Stephenson make sure to follow him on Twitter. He has been our photographer for every single interview and event we go to in Toronto. Make sure to check our interview with Mickey Factz.

This week we got a few retro releases including the Foamposite One’s, Jordan VII’s and also some new kicks and a new colorway of the Air Jordan 2011 which you see here. NCAA March Madness has begun and unless you live under a rock you know that MJ went to UNC and of course the entire basketball program at the University of North Carolina is sponsored by Jordan Brand. This colorway accents the ‘University Blue’ we’ve come to know & love.
Hit the jump for the Pewter/Black Foamposite One’s, Orion Blue VII’s, Nike Air Max JR’s, and ANOTHER new colorway of the Zoom Kobe VI.

Toronto was the first date on the Smokers Club tour and being that it was Mac Miller’s first time in Canada you better believe he gave his best performance. Photography by Andrew Stephenson, make sure to check out the interview with Mac Miller as well.

New Music night is a weekly event every Friday night in the Outback Shack at Fanshawe College. This past week it featured Rich Kidd, Smash Brovaz, and The Girls Can Hear Us.
It was a great night, Rich Kidd had the limited edition of Vol. 1- Vol. 4 of We On Some Rich Kidd Shit on sale. I realized that The Girls Can Hear Us have some hardcore fans and Smash Brovaz held it down as usual. Check the photography by Sasha Goldstein and special thanks for Mike Perrow for hooking it up.

Welcome to the first ever Sneakers Corner post on The Come Up Show. Today being Saturday and most new shoes drop on this day we decided that we’re gonna aim to have this post EVERY Saturday from now on. Why? Well for those of you who don’t know me, I work at Foot Locker full time so about 1/3rd of my day is influenced by shoes and of course 100% of my day is hip hop. Hip-Hop & Sneaks are already a pair of things that have found love in one another. Hip Hop (in it’s early days and now re-emergence) was all about being the freshest MC on the mic and you couldn’t be a good MC if you didn’t have the right threads and kicks to go with it. Run-DMC’s classic track “My Adidas” was groundbreaking for the people who didn’t have style, they now knew what to rock and how to rock it correctly. Fashion & Sneaker based songs have been around as long as I can remember and we all can relate kicks to hip hop music. The nicest, coolest, most amazing (and most expensive) shoes to ever grace the feet of anyone will be showcased here. Jordan, Nike, Adidas, Converse, Nike SB, Supra’s, Air Max’s, Kobe’s, Lebron’s, etc, etc anything and everything all across the board and hopefully on our feet sometime (even in our dreams). Welcome to Sneakers Corner.
