With the drop of his mixtape When We Were Kings last month, ANTHM has proved to be one of the best young lyricists in the game. Here is the visual treatment to a previously released track that goes by the name of ANTHM’s hometown, “Manhattan”. If you’re a fan of the show Mad Men you’ll definitely recognize the sample used as it was taken from the shows opening theme song. Vancouver rapper Attikus just dropped the visuals for “Poltergeists”, the first single off his album Boo Radley, and one of my personal favourites off the album. Producer REL!G!ON crafts a chilling, organ-driven beat to match Attikus’ gravelly voice on this one. Check out the visuals for “Poltergeists” below.

Kendrick Lamar recently sat down with Nessa of Wild 94.9 for a dope interview that covered Kendrick’s upcoming work, his favourite rappers, his biggest pet peeves, what type of girls he’s into and then finishes it off with a game of “Hump It or Dump It”. Also, just incase J. Coles recent confirmation of these two’s joint album rumours wasn’t enough, Kendrick goes on to confirm the rumours himself. I think that album is the most anticipated of the year for me personally. Seeing as Danny Brown is one of the most interesting artists in hip-hop right now, it was only a matter of time before we got a documentary on him. Pitchfork.tv just dropped Detroit State of Mind, a 20-minute documentary special on the man behind XXX. For fans of Danny Brown, this is a must-watch. Produced and directed by Eavvon O’Neal, and shot and edited by William Colby, the documentary follows Danny with his family, recording new music, performing at Dilla Day, and more.
